Highest statue of Goddess of Mercy inaugurated in Da Nang

Linh Ung pagoda, where has the highest statue of the Goddess of Mercy in Vietnam, was inaugurated on July 30 in the central city of Da Nang.
Hundreds of thousand Buddhist followers, visitors and local officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
The construction of Linh Ung pagoda began six years ago. Its highlight is the giant statue of the Goddess of Mercy, which stands 67m. The statue includes 17 stories, worshipping 21 Buddhas in each story.
On this occasion, the pagoda held a requiem.
