Awards presented for Nam Dinh tourism photo and logo contest

An awards ceremony for two contests for Nam Dinh’s tourism photo and logo design was held on August 9 by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The photo entitled ‘The Procession’, by photographer Nguyen Ngoc Quang from the provincial Exhibition Centre, was granted the first prize of VND 5 million (around US$260). In the tourism logo design contest, Luong Van Phuong won the first prize, worth VND 10 million (around US$520).
Launched on January 1, 2010, the contests attracted 228 photos by 21 professional and amateur photographers, and nine logo designs by four painters. All of the entries feature the province’s tourism potential and resources as well as its strength for cultural and eco-tourism.
According to the organising board, selected entries will be published in a pictorial tourism book to introduce the beauty of the province and its people to visitors from home and abroad.
