Vegetarian food festival in HCM City

The festival will take place at HCM City’s 23/9 Park from August 26-28 on the occasion of Vu Lan holiday.
With the theme “For Health and the Environment,” the festival will introduce more than 100 vegetarian cuisines of Vietnam and other countries processed by over 50 vegetarian restaurants and pagodas from many provinces and cities.
The festival will include many activities like a vegetarian food-processing contest, cooking vegetarian cuisine with famous people, a lantern festival and talks on vegetarian food by prestigious experts.
The festival organizers will also call for people to reduce meat consumption as a way to protect the environment.
This festival will be an annual event.
