Many tours unsold on National Day holiday

Not many domestic and foreign tours have been sold on the occasion of National Day holiday as expected, according to travel agencies.
In fact this short holiday is in co-incidence with the opening of new school year and not many people could travel on this occasion.
Like other tour operators, Vietravel has sold only 70% tours of its target on the National Day holiday.
Meanwhile travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City expected that the number of tourists has increased by 30% in August compared to the same period last year together with a 15% increase in prices.
On the contrary, the number of sold tours has decreased by 20% on National Day holiday, compared to the last year’s figure.
Car rentals in southern provinces did not see any increase on this occasion.
