New tourism symbol

The Vietnam Administration of Tourism has officially launched a contest to find out the new slogan and symbol for the National Tourism Promotion Program over the next five years from 2011 to 2015.
The new slogan and symbol are expected to improve the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism sector and help attract more international tourists to Vietnam in the coming time.
According to Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy-Director of the Vietnam Administration of Tourism, the old slogan: “Vietnam – The hidden charm” will be used until the end of this year. Vietnam’s tourism sector needs a new slogan and symbol for the coming time, which will help travel companies to promote tourism in key markets for coming period.
All groups and individuals inside and outside the country can take part in the contest from August 25th to December 15th. Entries should be sent to the Tourism Marketing Department under the Vietnam Administration of Tourism at 80 Quan Su Street, Hanoi or through the email: slogcontest@vietnamtourism.gov.vn.
The first prize worth VND 50 million and many valuable prizes are awaiting the winners.
