Viet Nam posts tourist growth

The UN World Tourism Organisation has put Viet Nam on the list of the top Asian countries with a strong tourism performance in the first half of 2010.
With the same growth of 35 per cent, Viet Nam and Myanmar ranked as economies which had strong results in the period, behind Sri Lanka (49 per cent) and Japan (36 per cent), but above Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore (23 per cent).
The organisation said in a statement that international tourist arrivals grew about 7 per cent during this period.
