Parade rehearsal for Grand Thang Long-Hanoi ceremony

The first general rehearsal of the parade for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi took place in Ba Vi district, Hanoi, on September 26.
Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh attended and directed the general rehearsal, which involved 6,500 officers and soldiers divided into two groups.
The programme began with a flag saluting ceremony, cannon firing, and the procession of a torch from Ho Chi Minh Museum, followed by a performance with 10 helicopters carrying the Party’s flag and the national flag.
The second general rehearsal will be held on September 29. The final review is scheduled for October 7 in Ba Dinh Square.
