Heavy downpours force VN to cancel flights
Vietnam Airlines cancelled 30 flights to and from
Vinh and Chu Lai airports from October 15-18 due to heavy downpours occurred in
north central provinces, said a representative from Vietnam Airlines.
To ensure safety for passengers, Vietnam airlines cancelled 28 flights to and
from Vinh City and two flights to and from Quang Nam Province.
Vietnam Airlines on October 18 carried out two flights from Vinh airport to Ho
Chi Minh City to reduce affected passengers.
It also expects to increase more four flights between Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh
and Hanoi – Vinh, not including six daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City -
Vinh and two flights between Hanoi – Vinh as usual.
