The First Meeting of National Cultural Heritage Council, term of office 2010-2014

On November 7th, the first meeting of National Cultural Heritage Council in term of office 2010-2014 was held in Hanoi with the attendance of Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh.
After listening to the report of the Committee of National Cultural Heritage, Minister Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh has mentioned some key points. Firstly, the awareness about National Cultural Heritage has not only vital cultural value but also the most important factor contributed to the sustainable development of Vietnam. Furthermore, Mr.Tuan Anh hopes that the Committee of National Cultural Heritage will tightly coordinate with and offer professional advices for the Prime Minister about strategies and policies that can protect and develop cultural heritages in the future.
The comprehensive implementation of laws on Cultural Heritages relates closely with choices of typical heritages to submit to UNESCO to get the approval as a world heritage.
Minister also believe that with fully support of intelligence as well as science of the National Cultural Heritage Council; Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will have more power and responsible fellow people on the way of protecting, maintaining and developing values of plentiful and precious National Cultural Heritages. In the meeting, on behalf of Prime Minister, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh has announced and granted approval decision on member list of the National Cultural Heritage Council.
