Vietnam among most favored hotspot
Abundant culture, enchanting landscape, and
inexpensive prices for travel has made Vietnam become one of destinations most
favored by foreign tourists, especially those from Thailand, Australia, Japan,
and Singapore.
This result was released by Visa International (Visa) and the Pacific Asia
Travel Association (PATA) based on a tourism trend survey among more than 6,700
people from 13 countries and territories such as Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong
Kong, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Singapore, Thailand, and the
U.S.
In each market, the survey was conducted on internet users who are aged above 18
and have traveled abroad over the past two years and plan to do so in the next
two years.
Amongst foreign tourists to travel to Vietnam in the future, 17% of them are
from Thailand, 16% from Australia, and 11% from Japan and Singapore.
The survey showed that independent travel trend is most popular with foreign
tourists who plan to visit Vietnam at 55% while another 25% responded they will
come Vietnam to play golf.
