Many promotion tours unsold in November

The number of tourists taking promotion tours in November decreased by more than 40% compared to October’s figure, according to a report on domestic tourism conducted by travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the The He Tre (Young Generation) Travel Company and Vice-Head of the group to develop domestic tourism demand revealed that only 891 tourists took promotion tours to the Central and Northern regions in November.
He explained that storms and heavy floods in the Central Region in November were the reason for the decrease of the number of tourists.
The number of tourists is expected to increase this month thanks to fine weather and new big promotion campaigns. In addition, there are big holidays such as Christmas and New Year Festival this month.
