Da Nang to offer on-board fireworks viewing service

Preparations for the International Fireworks Competition 2010 have been started to ensure the success of the contest, said the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on December 7th.
The competition, with the theme “The sparkling Han River”, is expected to take place in Da Nang on April 29th and 30th, 2011.
Reportedly, the event’s organising board will offer between 25,000-30,000 seats to serve spectators and entrance tickets will be sold by travel agencies. In addition, in order to meet demands of visitors who wish to enjoy the view of the pyrotechnics from boats, the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also coordinate with People’s Committee and Border Guard Command of Son Tra Urban District to ask ship owners in the area to offer tourism services with prices not exceeding VND200,000 per person per night
However, fireworks viewing from boats and ports will also be strictly managed by the organising board to ensure public order and the safety of tourists, which is always a top priority for authorities.
