Turkish Airlines starts HCMC-Istanbul flights
Turkish Airlines has started air service to Ho Chi
Minh City extending the Istanbul Bangkok route to Vietnam’s finanaical hub.
The airline will have four weekly flights, with departures from Tan Son Nhat
International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
A promotional roundtrip airfare begins at VND18.83 million (US$965) for
departures between now and March 31 next year.
It will use Airbus 340-300 aircraft with 270 seats for the route.
HCMC-based Huong Giang Travel, the carrier’s general agent in Vietnam is working
with other tourism operators in HCMC as they plan to provide trips to Turkey,
taking advantage of the new air route, according to Thoi bao Kinh te Saigon.
It will be easy for passengers from Vietnam to fly to other European and Middle
East destinations from Istanbul.
By adding HCMC to its destination network, Turkish Airlines now flies to 169
destinations worldwide.
