More tourists during first days of new year

The number of domestic tourists has increased sharply over the New Year holidays.
The number of visitors to Sapa, a favourite northern tourist site, increased by 5 times compared to the first two days of last year. The number is expected to also expected to rise in coming days.
Tourist sites and entertainment centres in Hanoi such as the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the Ho Tay Water Park, the Thu Le Park and shopping centres were full of visitors and customers on the first days of the New Year.
Meanwhile, up to 3,000 tourists visited Dalat City, and the coastal city of Phan Thiet also welcomed 12,000 visitors.
Tours sold by Hanoi Redtour, Saigontourist, Ben Thanh, Fiditour and Vietravel increased by between 20% to 30%. Particularly, Saigontourist received more than 1,500 international tourists in first days of the New Year.
