Ministry holds practical tours for tourism students
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has
announced travel study programs for students to learn about tourism in
neighboring Southeast Asian countries.
The 2011 program held jointly by the ministry and Viet Circle Travel and Service
Co., Ltd. will be available for students studying culture, tourism and foreign
languages at universities, colleges and professional schools in the southern
region.
Cambodia will be the first study trip on February 20. Participants will improve
their professional competence, foreign language and communication skills.
To make costs affordable for more students, the ministry and Viet Circle Travel
and Service Co. will cap costs at US$130 each including transportation, eating
and drinking, travel insurance, and accommodation at three-star hotels for four
days, three nights.
The ministry will work with Cambodia to sponsor entrance tickets at tourist
attractions.
Participants will visit tourist attractions in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh and talk
with Cambodian students and government officers about the culture and tourism
there. Facilitators will also show students how to organize tourist groups,
entrance and exit procedures, and resolve problems.
