Spring Festival 2011 to open in Hanoi
The Spring Festival 2011 will be organised from
January 20 to 31, 2011 in the Vietnam Exhibition Centre, Giang Vo, Hanoi.
This year’s festival will be attended by 600 enterprises with nearly 900 kiosks
on a site of 13,000 square meters.
The festival will display and sell essential commodities for the lunar New Year,
including: food, foodstuff, clothes, beverage, household devices, fruit, and
specialties of regions around the country such as: Hoa Binh wine, Nam Roi and
Dien grapefruit, Bo Ha oranges, Thai Nguyen tea, Uoc Le pork pies and Hai Duong
cakes made of ground green lentils.
The beverage section of the Vietnam Alcohol, Beer and Beverage Association will
be the highlight of the 2011 Spring Festival, with nearly 120 kiosks on display
at the Ngoc Khanh Square.
Moreover, the festival will have the participation of 30 kiosks of foreign
enterprises, mainly Myanmar, with products on display such as gold, silver,
precious gemstone, jewelry and handicrafts and fine art products.
In the central coastal province of Quang Nam, the Spring Festival 2011 kicked
off on January 12, with 160 kiosks of both domestic and foreign enterprises on
display. The festival aimed to intensify the campaign “Vietnamese prioritizing
made-in-Vietnam products” as well as to promote provincial brands and expand
markets.
