Activities to mark 81st CPV anniversary and Lunar New Year
A wide range of activities have been held across
the country to mark the 81st anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)
and traditional Lunar New Year festival (Tet).
*** A Spring Press Festival opened at the Binh Dinh Library on January 25 with
the participation of more than 300 newspapers and magazines from all over the
country.
There is an exhibition of 40 outstanding press photos taken by members of the
Press Photographs Club.
The festival will run until January 27.
*** Another spring press festival took place in Phu Ly, Ha Nam province to
celebrate the success of the 11th National Party Congress and to mark the Lunar
New Year.
On display are more than 100 publications from central newspapers and magazines,
63 ones from provinces and cities and publications of Ha Nam province, which
introduce the province’s tourist attractions.
Readers will gain a general view of the country’s socio-economic development and
a taste of New Year atmosphere across the country.
*** A fine art and photography exhibition opened in Ha Long City on January 25
with 100 works, including 45 photos and 45 paintings and statues.
All the works were awarded at national exhibitions in 2010. They feature daily
life, production and traditional festivals in and outside Quang Ninh province.
