Life Resorts stops management of property in Danang

Life Resorts has terminated management of an upper-class resort that used to be known as Life Resort Danang covering nearly five hectares of Bac My An Beach area in the country’s central business hub.
Life Resorts has sent the public notice to travel trade partners and clients to inform them that the property located at Son Tra, Dien Ngoc Street in the central coastal city was no longer under its management.
“Life Resorts has no further association with this property effective immediately,” the HCMC-based company said in an announcement on Wednesday. It added that any enquiries related to this property should be addressed to the resort directly.
The Dutch resort company also turned down any link to the resort’s name change after the company left the property. “The new name ‘Life Style Resort Danang’ should in no way be misconstrued as being part of the Life Resorts Group,” the announcement said.
Life Resorts did not clarify a reason for stopping management of the 187-room resort, which opened last year on one of Vietnam’s most renowned stretches of central beach area and near the country’s UNESCO-listed ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam Province.
More than two years ago, Life Resorts struck an agreement to manage the luxury resort developed by the Danang-based Hoang Tra Travel and Trading Co. at an estimated investment capital of US$25 million.
Opened in the spring of 2010, the resort was expected to supply more luxury accommodation and services, and has soon become a destination for local and international visitors to central Vietnam given its close proximity to downtown Danang. Besides, the property also has meeting and conference facilities, food and beverage venues, a fitness center, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a spa.
Life Resorts now manages the 84-room Blue Ocean Resort in the central resort town of Mui Ne in Binh Thuan Province, as well as owns and operates the 94-room Life Heritage Resort Hoi An by the Thu Bon River and the 63-room Life Wellness Resort Quy Nhon in Binh Dinh Province.
