All set for south central coast tourism festival

Sea and island tourism will be the theme for the National Tourism Year in South Central Coast to be held this year, Trang Quang Nhat, head of the Phu Yen Province Department of culture, Sports and Tourism, has revealed.
The opening ceremony will take place in April 1 Square in Tuy Hoa city and be broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 and VTV4 channels.
The festival, to go on until December in seven provinces and cities from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, will feature mountain climbing, an ASEAN traditional music festival, an international sailboat racing, a fireworks competition, a sea village fest, a cultural exchange night, and other events.
Phu Yen has earmarked more than VND107 billion (US$5.1 million) for it.
