Ha Long bay needs more votes to be modern natural world wonder

Ha Long bay ranks fourth among the 28 candidates running for the world’s seven modern natural wonders, after three rounds of a votes launched by the NewOpenWorld website (www.natural7wonders.com).
To be listed as one of the world’s new seven natural wonders, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay needs to have more than 60 million votes from both domestic and international communities. The list of winners will be annouced on November 11th.
Over the past time, the authorities and people of Quang Ninh province, where the bay locates, have launched various activities to promote the image of Ha Long bay and encourage domestic and foreign visitors to vote for the Bay.
Thousands of leaflets, posters and dozens of video clips on the bay have been distributed to visitors.
Earlier, Ha Long Bay was twice recognised by UNESCO for its beautiful landscapes and geological uniqueness.
