Ha Long boat captain held for investigation

The captain and the chief mechanic of the sunken Truong Hai 06 are being held in custody for investigation.
Colonel Vu Chi Thuc, the Quang Ninh Police chief, said 22-year-old captain Nguyen Van Minh and 27-year-old Do Van Thang, the chief mechanic, are being prosecuted for “lack of responsibilities, causing serious consequences”.
The Truong Hai 06 cruise boat was carrying 21 tourists and six sailors when it sank on February 17, leaving 12 dead.
