Photos on cultural life presented

Winners of the "All People Unite to Build a Cultural Lifestyle" photography contest were awarded at a ceremony in Hanoi on February 20.
The first prize in the photograph collection category went to ‘Lang Mien Cu Da’ (Cu Da Vermicelli Village) by Nguyen Thi Huyen from Hanoi.
Trinh Te Ha from Ho Chi Minh City won first prize in the single photo category for his work entitled ‘Ke Chuyen’ (Telling Story).
Two second, four third and three consolation prizes were also presented at the ceremony.
An exhibition of the 155 best photos in the contest opened at the Trang Tien Exhibition House in Hanoi on the same day and will last until February 26.
The contest was launched in October 2010 by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. Over 3,000 entries were sent to the contest from nearly 600 photographers across the country. The entries reflected cultural and social activities nationwide held in response to the movement to call on all people in the country to unite to build a cultural lifestyle in their localities.
