Kingdom of Stones
Cau Island, in Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan
Province, nicknamed “Kingdom of Stones”, has attracted tourists with its
delicious specialties and natural beauty.
From Phuoc The fishing village, it takes tourists about 45 minutes to reach the
island by boat.
There are no high-class resorts, spas, or luxurious restaurants on the island.
However, it is the nature and hospitality of islanders, as well as, the
wonderful stones, beaches, wind, and sunshine that welcome and allure tourists.
There, tourists can go camping or share a house with local people.
The island, with various gardens of white stones of different forms and sizes
along the beaches, was called the “Kingdom of Stones” by the first tourists.
These stones seem to have fallen on the ground from a giant-stone rain in
ancient times, They are really a marvelous gift from mother nature to the
island.
Along with sightseeing, tourists could go diving to contemplate the colorful
coral reefs and fish before enjoying fresh seafood, such as, arca, cuttle-fish,
and white bass, and especially, red shrimp and eels .
Having nice talks with border guards to the sound the of waves and sea breeze is
also an interesting experience.
