Yen Bai launches tourism festival

A tourism festival, ‘Return to the Roots’, was launched on February 26th in Nghia Lo Town in the northern Province of Yen Bai.
The program is one of the first cultural and tourist activities to be held during 2011 in the three northern Provinces of Yen Bai, Phu Tho, and Lao Cai.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Prime Minister, Nguyen Thien Nhan, stressed that Yen Bai, Phu Tho, and Lao Cai have a long history with a lot of special traditions and cultural identities.
The Vice Prime Minister hoped that this year’s ‘Return to the Roots’ tourism program will give a good impression to visitors, helping develop tourism and economics in the area.
He urged the three provinces’ tourism sectors to take advantage of tourism potentials to create more interesting tourist products to attract visitors.
