International visitors to Ha Long Bay soar

Quang Ninh Province in collaboration with Saigontourist and Tan Hong Tourism Company planned to receive 4 high-class tourist cruise vessels between February 28th and March 3rd, according to the Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department.
The four tourist vessels named Arcadia, Seabourn Sojourne, Costa Classica and Pricess Daphne, which in total carry 4,150 international tourists, were expected to dock in Ha Long Bay.
According to the schedules, the visitors will visit Ha Long Bay and Hanoi.
Deputy-Chief of the Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, Trinh Dang Thanh, said that Ha Long Bay had never before seen such a large number of international by-sea visitors.
The surge in the number of international tourist to Ha Long Bay shows that it is still a favorite destination for international tourists, he added.
According to reports, Ha Long Bay has received 1.14 million visitors, including 375,000 international tourists, up by 8 per cent against the same time last year.
