No Vietnamese tour in Japan’s earthquake-hit areas
Major Vietnam’s travel agencies including
Saigontourist, Vietravel, Ben Thanh, TST, Hoan My and Apex have confirmed that
they have no organised tours currently in Japan, especially to the
earthquake-hit areas.
According to Mr. Lam Tu Khoi, Deputy-Director of the International Tourism
Department of Saigontourist, the travel agency usually launches tours to Tokyo
and southern cities such as Osaka or Kyoto but not to north-eastern provinces
which were hit by the earthquake.
Meanwhile, Japan Airlines, ANA and American Airlines suspended their routes from
Vietnam to Japan on March 11th, while some flights from the USA to Vietnam via
Japan’s Narita Airport were suspended and will have to transit in other
airports.
The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, continued their flights from
Vietnam to Japan on March 11th and 12th with some minor delays.
