Int’l seminar on building Vietnam’s marine trademark
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)
has co-ordinated with the southern Binh Thuan province’s People’s Committee to
organise an international seminar on building Vietnam’s marine trademark at
Sealinks Bech Hotel on March 18.
The event, which is part of the framework of the Vietnam International Yacht
Festival (VIYF) 2011, has attracted the participation of 100 experts, managers,
and local and foreign maritime tourism businesses.
14 reports presented at the seminar including two from international experts,
focused on the development of sea tourism to build Vietnam’s marine trademark in
the world.
Participants also discussed issues relating to developing high quality sea and
island tourism as a priority, the role of the community in the development of
the tourism trademark as well as the quality of sea tourism products.
Experts also debated solutions to honour sea tourism products of each of
Vietnam’s coastal regions, developing human resources, strengthening cooperation
among the coastal localities with their neighbouring areas, and boosting
international cooperation and investment.
The seminar offered an opportunity for experts and businesses to share
experiences and seek investment cooperation. It also helped tourism agents and
localities to develop sea tourism in a synchronized manner in order to build
Vietnam’s marine trademark in the world.
