Vietnam airlines increases more flights during April 30 and May 1
From April 28 to May 3, 2011, Vietnam airlines
will add 48 domestic flights to satisfy the surging demand for air travel on the
occasion of national holidays.
48 extra domestic flights will incclude eight for each of Hanoi-Nha Trang,
Hanoi-Danang, Hanoi-HCMC and HCMC-Nha Trang routes, 10 for the HCMC-Phu Quoc run
and six for the HCMC-Danang. Airbus A320/321 và AT7 will be used to carry
passengers on these flights.
For international services, Vietnam Airlines said it would have 15 more flights
from Hanoi to Bangkok and Siem Reap and from HCMC to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and
Siem Reap, and vice versa during the holiday period.
Vietnam Airlines said the seating capacity would increase by up to 70% on
certain air routes compared to normal days. The airline forecast demand for
domestic air travel during the holidays would rise by 30% over the year-ago
period.
