Fireworks to be set off in Ha Long and Nha Trang festivals
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has allowed the northern
province of Quang Ninh and the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa to set off
fireworks on the occasion of their festivals this year.
Each of both provinces will set off fireworks for 15 minutes and have low-range
fireworks shows.
The 2011 Ha Long Carnival in Quang Ninh province will be held in Bai Chay
tourism area from April 29 to May 2.
For the opening ceremony, there will be a light performance lasting 90 minutes
for the first time.
During the event, photographs and drawings exhibitions, a seminar on voting for
Ha Long Bay as the world’s natural wonders, a volleyball tournament and an arts
performance will also take place.
Meanwhile, the 2011 Nha Trang Sea Festival in Khanh Hoa province on June 11-15
is planned to attract tourists with various activities such as a street
festival, fashion show, food festival, and a volleyball tournament.
In particular, the event draws the participation of foreign artists from Japan,
China, France and the Republic of Korea.
