Tourists flock to central region
The number of tourists to the central region on the occasion of
Southern Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day has increased remarkably against
the previous years.
In the coastal areas of Da Nang city, Cua Dai in Hoi An ancient town, Lang Co
beach in Thua Thien Hue province, some hotels have been fully booked.
Especially, nearly 6,000 visitors have registered for visiting Cu Lao Cham
island, up four times compared to normal days.
To meet the visitors’ demand for accommodation and travel, Hoi An city’s
Department of Trade and Tourism in the central Quang Nam province have put more
than 60 high-speed ferries and boats into operation.
As the four-day long holiday coincides with the international fireworks
festival, the number of visitors to Da Nang city is expected to increase by 20
percent from a year earlier, and five times compared to normal days.
To ensure the quality of tourism services, local authorities have asked hotels
to sell goods at the listed prices and strengthened inspection of agencies.
