Holidaymakers flock to Ly Son Island
During the last three days, holidaymakers have flocked to the
island of Ly Son in the central province of Quang Ngai.
The island had to quickly mobilize all its resources, including four high-speed
ships to ferry passengers from Sa Ky Port to the Island and back.
Ships had to make several trips a day to ferry the large crowds.
Ly Son Island has several national relic sites like the Hang Pagoda and the An
Vinh Village communal house. The island is also known as “garlic kingdom”
because of a special variety of garlic that grows here.
Besides, the Island has the Ly Son Museum that has several valuable documents
relating to the country’s sovereignty to the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel)
Islands.
