Vitours sees more Chinese visitors to Danang
Vitours will receive around 1,000 more tourists a month from
China and Taiwan to Danang by chartered flights from Shanghai, Kunming,
Shenzhen, Chengdu and Taipei starting Sunday.
Cao Tri Dung, director of Vitours, told the Daily on Thursday that the Shanghai-Danang
flight would begin on Sunday, the Taipei route on Wednesday with Kunming
passengers coming from May 10.
Flights will come from Shenzhen on May 15 and the Chengdu-Danang route completes
the new chartered operations on May 27.
The chartered flights will operate for at least three months to a maximum of one
year by Airbus planes. Vitours will serve all tourists from the chartered
flights from China and will cooperate with partners to cater for Taipei
tourists.
The guests will visit cultural sites in Danang and other provinces in the
central region with Vitours supplying domestic flight arrangements.
Dung said the company is arranging for Vietnamese travelers to go on outbound
tours to these five cities with cheaper than normal prices.
The company is also receiving tourists via chartered flights from Hong Kong next
week and flights from Guangzhou.
He said that the company would receive around 1,000 more Chinese tourists to
Danang by air from next month, five times more than the same period last year.
“The China market is booming so we must focus more on that market. We are
arranging more chartered flights to bring foreign visitors to the city and are
waiting for more international flights to link Danang with foreign destinations
for tourism development,” Dung said.
Vitours opened a representative office named Vitours China last month to help
develop the Chinese market.
