Vietnam Seas and Islands Week opens in Nha Trang

Vietnam’s Sea and Island Week 2011, under the title “Green intellect for Sustainable Development of Vietnam’s Seas and Islands”, opened in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, on June 5th.
During the four-day event, many interesting activities will be held, such as a program to determine a record, “Noi vong tay lon” (Join our hands together), by over 3,000 young people holding their hands to create a human mosaic of Vietnam’s map, the second sea-based economy forum, a meeting for seashore managers, an exhibition on marine resources of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, and a parade in response to World Environment Day (June 5th) and World Ocean Day (June 8th).
