Largest tourist site in Mekong Delta built in Can Tho

Can Tho has entered into the construction of the Hau River Tourist Site, which is considered the largest tourist project in the Mekong Delta region.
On June 12th, Hau River-Can Tho Joint-Stock Tourism Company started the project on Cai Khe Bank, Ninh Kieu District in Can Tho.
According to the investor, the project will cover 9.4 ha along the riverbank and receive some VND500billion in investment.
The project includes a number of sub-projects, such as a high-quality 210-room hotel, a convention centre, entertainment and sporting areas and a healthcare services section.
The whole tourist site can accommodate some 5,500 tourists at any one time.
The investor assured that the construction will be accomplished in 42 months, but some parts of the tourist site were expected to welcome visitors as early as 2012.
