Largest “polder” project nears commencement

Can Gio City Tourism Joint-Stock Company (CTC) and the joint-venture between Dai Phu Gia and South Construction on June 27th signed a contract to implement the first phase of Saigon SunBay Project.
Under the contract, the joint-venture will build marine infrastructure subprojects and prepare 151 ha of surface land for construction by reclaiming land from the sea in the first phase of the general project.
Saigon SunBay Project, invested in by CTC, is a large project that covers more than 600 ha, including 400 ha for construction and the remainder for beach, in Long Hoa Commune, Can Gio District of Ho Chi Minh City.
Saigon SunBay is considered Vietnam’s largest “polder tourist project” which will use modern technology to reclaim a large patch of land from the sea.
The project is expected to cost US$ 1.4 billion in total.
