Thank you for you email. We did indeed have a wonderful time in Vietnam and I could not fault your service in any way.
Regarding hotels:- we have stayed at the Ancient House in Hoi An before and it was exactly as we remembered. The Michelia in Nha Trang was new to us and we had no idea what to expect. It was in fact a beautifully appointed, nearly new, hotel in an excellent location, and I would happily recommend it to anybody. The Ngoc Lan in Dalat is actually owned by the same company that owns the Michelia (I did not know that when I booked it) and it was almost as good. The Bamboo Green in Da Nang was a bit of a disappointment but we were only there for one night. I seem to recall you suggesting we would be better off staying a fifth night in the Ancient House rather than moving to Da Nang for one night. You were right.
I loved the train.
I might be visiting Hanoi for a few days in January. Nothing is settled yet but if and when it becomes a reality I shall contact you to organize a hotel.
