Thanks for asking for feedback. Some notes are below:
Our guide in Hanoi was good and looked after us well.
The Hanoi hotel - Elegance - was very nice. The staff were friendly and professional and the rooms were very nice.
Our boat in Halong Bay had nice bedrooms, but overall the Oriental Sail experience was not as good as a previous trip I have done with Dragon's Pearl for 2 reasons:
1. As we shared the boat with people on 2D/1N itinerary the 3D/2N itinerary was not as good as with Dragon's Pearl. With Dragon's Pearl all the guests were on the 3D/2N itinerary which meant it went to a much quieter bay (with OS we counted 35+ boats anchored there at night). Also we had to go aboard a day boat when the main boat returned to the port on our second day. We also did not do the dinner in the cave which we had with Dragon's Pearl which was very good.
2. The food on OS was not as good as on the previous boat trip that I have done with Dragon's Pearl (a lot of the food on our Oriental Sail boat was deep-fried).
