Itinerary:
We will pick up you at your hotel in Hue city and transfer you to the dock. Upon arrival, embark a dragon boat and cruise along the romantic Perfume River in about 30 minutes till reach another dock and stop to visit Hue’s best-known religious site: Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue by car to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen’s Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.
After lunch with a short break, we continue with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Finally, visit Conical Hat and Incense making villages before driving back to Hue city. Tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Cooking Class on King Dragon Boat

Join our cooking class while cruising on romantic Perfume River in a dragon boat will sure bring you a fascinating and unforgettable experience for your trip in Hue.
Tour starts at 8.00am with pickup at your hotel in Hue city centre by cyclo to transfer to Dong Ba market. You will be offered an interesting opportunity to bargain with local sellers and learn how to choose quality raw materials to use in the cooking lesson. After getting all you need from the market, we will head to the dock to embark our King Dragon boat and start the lesson that lasts about 2 hours. Our chef will first demonstrates the correct preparation of each dish; then will give you the guidance in detail to let you prepare the dish by yourself. Once everything has been done, enjoy lunch with foods you have made.

Imperial Tomb and Thuy Bieu Biking

This tour takes you off the beaten path to visit Imperial Tomb and rural village area to learn about Vietnamese history and culture. During the trip, you will interact with local community such as visiting schools, local houses and buildings, ancient temples, taking part in cooking class... to get insight into local life. Tour ends with a foot massage for relaxation and a boat trip on Perfume river for the pleasure and best comfort.
Starting to bike to Tu Duc tomb- about 7 km - from Hue City, Tu Duc Tomb is considered as one of the most beautiful and picturesque and largest works of architecture of Nguyen Dynasty’s royal palaces and tombs. On the way, visit incense and conical making family to discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm. On the way to Thuy bieu village we stop by in Ho Quyen – Arena of Tigers and Elephants - a typical relaxing activity of the King and Royal at that time, and Voi Re -Screaming Elephants Altar... This arena was built in 1830 under reign of King Minh Mang 1820-1841.
Continue cycling toward Thuy Bieu Village along verdant paths; you can see local people’s daily life. Thuy Bieu Village has been well-known with its immense grapefruit gardens, which its fruit taste differently from other species throughout Vietnam. It’s smaller but sweeter and known under the name of Thanh Tra people which was only provided for the Royal Family. Have a nice biking and walking around quiet Thuy Bieu Village, feeling the comfortable relax in a friendly air of local. While biking , taking short stop in schools, communal houses, ancient temples and especially the garden house - Its housing architecture is typical of Hue and the Nguyen dynasty with small cottages hidden in large luxuriant gardens, long gates and fences carved out of ornamental trees.
Keep biking through 2 most pristine hamlets Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan where you can contemplate lush greens, laid back lifestyle. Stop to take photos in rice fields and church’s. Arriving Thuy Bieu and joining cooking class, you will prepare lunch by yourself with our chief’s instruction to make hue specialties. Have lunch with Hue traditional dishes you have just cooked. After that, relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice.
Come back on boat for cruise along the poetic Perfume River to experience the daily life of local people as well as contemplate the beauty of landscapes and fill your heart and mind
with fresh air. Main destination of our journey is the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda) which was built in 1601-the symbol of Hue city. On the boat you can admire the daily life of local , old bridge built by French- Trang Tien bridge and stroll sunset on the river.
